Gould Lake Snowshoeing

Postby Trail Blaisers » Sun Dec 13, 2009 12:12 am

FYI, our winter only caches in Gould Lake have been activated. See GC1K1NM, GC1K1NE and GC1K1NG. While out there I also moved GC1P1BF (Porky & Tom) to a winter friendly location and laid out a new multi. Hope you all get a chance to experience Gould Lake Conservation Area in the winter - it is beautiful!

Great to see these fantastic caches back online. We had such a great time snowshoeing to them last year. I'll be looking forward to your new multi, and am very likely going to do these again--just for the trip. So if anyone is wanting to do them, let me know. Jax and I would love to join in!

I am interested in joining if dates line up.

A new years day hike to work off some Xmas calories?

FYI, the rain that happened in Kingston today was just lots of snow here. There's a nice white blanket so this cache is definitely ready to go!

P.S. Good idea swimmrguy ... maybe out on an island somewhere!

I Like your thinking.

Peterborough got a nice cover of snow today too. As i was getting home I stopped to see one of my caches and found some nice footprints in and around it and sure enough... Kayakers2 was there. I was left wondering who had the small prints tho!!

You're simply everywhere K2. :)

Yeah, we, along with Brook22, MMMcacher, Greywynd & Snip 24 (he of the small footprints) cached in Peterborough today during a snowstorm. Not quite enough snow for snowshoeing yet but they were x-country skiing around Trent University.

Little Cat might be a good place for it, for those who dont have snowshoes they have cheap rentals... although i hear you're not allowed to take them off the property....

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!

I'm interested as well if scheduling allows. Best days for me over the holidays would be somewhere between the 27th to the 3rd. Here's my shortlist for remaining caches:

Dasher & Prancer
Porky & Tom
My Place to KNOW
Messy Beavers.
