mtn_bkr65 gets a cache a day for a year

That's a crazy achievement, tough especially when you consider that you have to get one everyday and if you miss one, you gotta wait a year to get it again. Truly a great accomplishment.
Cheers

Wow...! Great achievement mTn_biker65. Don't know how you did it. We have all the non-cache find days marked on a 365 day calendar & still it might be another 2 years before we reach our goal. Well done...!

You never cease to amaze me mTn_biKer65. A cache a day, every day, without missing a day, for a whole year. That’s huge, really huge! It would have taken considerable patience (to withhold when necessary), planning, determination, and a whole lot of schedule shifting. Although easy enough for the first few days and weeks, no doubt this would be one of the most difficult feats of geocaching to actually complete. I doubt very much if I would be up to it. Let me add my sincere congratulations for yet another impressive achievement to add to your already expanding geo-resume. WTG!

Further to our congratulatory comments to mTn_biker65 we have rethought the "cache a day for every date in a year" challenge due to an event that happened today. Today, was one of those non-cache find days we have marked off on our calendar. Hmmmm, what to do. The nearest unfound cache, other than Lingham/Bushwacker, is 42 km away ATCF....& only 1 cache in the area. Do we really want to drive 100 road km's just to find one cache on May 11?? Well we did....but we're not sure we'll do it again.
Then there are those days with very special traditions that do not lend themselves well to geocaching. Days like Xmas Day, New Year's Day & Trudy's...I mean our anniversary.

No, I don't think a "cache a day for a year" is ever going to be doable for us.

Which, in our minds, makes mTn_biker65's achievement even more awesome. Much harder than the "81" matrix or any of the other myriad of challenges in the geocaching world.

But....let's see....only 27 more dates to get....hmmmmm :?: :!:

Congrats on this achievement mTn_biKer65!!! :woohoo: That is really something. I'm a bit envious. It seems the way it's going these days I'll be lucky to get 1 cache a month let alone 1 a day.
We'll have to get out for some caches together soon.
Cheers! B)

Thanks for the notes. It's amazing on how caching by schedule for a year changes the way you cache. I'm more relaxed now choosing to cache when convenient as opposed to doing caches ASAP. I think that's a good thing. Definitely couldn't have completed it if it wasn't for "KACHE 2: The Sequel" and that over-the-top 116 new caches for the event.

It is nice to once again be able to cache when I want rather than when the calender distates. :)

Thanks again

Looks like portera is about 4 months into the same challenge.
