Travel Bugs and Geocoins are two specific trackables that have unique numbers assigned to them that allows cachers to keep a record of their travels. This series of videos will explain the various steps that are involved in logging the movement of a travel bug.

Retrieving a Travel Bug or Geocoin from a cache

When you take a travel bug from a cache, you need to log that you have removed it. This takes it from the cache listing and put it into your inventory. This video shows you a few different ways that you can use to retrieve a trackable from the cache.

Leaving a Travel Bug or Geocoin in a cache

After you move a trackable to a new cache, you then need to "drop" the TB or coin into the cache. You can easily do this when you log your visit to the cache. This video shows how you add this trackable into the cache's page description so that others know it is there to find.

Discovering a Travel Bug or Geocoin

You may find a travel bug or coin in a cache or at an event, but decided to leave it for another person to take. You can, however "discover" the trackable which then adds a cool new icon to your profile. This video demonstrates how you can discover a trackable, and how a new icon will be added to your collection.
